Hibiscus Orange Water

Hibiscus Orange Water


  • 1/2 lb of fresh hibiscus flower (4 oz dried if you cant find fresh)

  • 5 oranges

  • 5 tbsp sugar (more if needed)

  • 1 gallon of water



  1. Bring the water to a boil and soak the flowers in the boiling water, turn the flame off and let the flowers infuse with the water for a few hours at room temperature

  2. Pass the liquid through a fine sieve (strainer) and pour the liquid into a container

  3. Squeeze the orange juice into the cooled hibiscus water and sweeten with the sugar

  4. Serve over ice and orange slices
